Summer camps
Fresh clean air, friends, games, physical activity and adventure!!!!
Many varied activities specifically chosen to aide the psycho-physical development of children. A house and its rooms and services functionally designed for children. A time to: invent things, communicate and narrate with the body and voice; live together with peers, establish rules of interaction and behavior, respect and understand the richness of difference, socialize and experience the utility of teamwork.
An opportunity to develop one's autonomy and understand one's abilities and limits. But a vacation without relatives. It is understandable that children look forward to an "adventure" like this with a mixture of curiosity and anxiety. In our opinion, this fact should be neither underestimated nor over dramatized. Children simply need the help of their parents; they need their parents to transmit security and enthusiasm.
For the above reasons, we feel it indispensable that the parents be convinced of their choice and that they fully trust the people in whose hands they intend to leave their child(ren). Furthermore, we believe it useful and perhaps even proper that before the session the child be familiar with the location, the "house", and the consellors that will be his/her emotional and practical point of reference during his/her stay.
Activities:
Carefully studied and prepared to:
- Improve interpersonal relationship and communication skills while strengthening the child's autonomy and social skills
- Stimulate his/her imagination and creativity
- Build on the personal strengths of each child and reinforce his/her self-confidence trough accepting his/her own limits.
n brief, these activities contribute to the harmonious and comprehensive development (and fortification) of the child's personality. You can read about the activities offered during the sessions by exploring the pages listed.
